Shrimp Tacos with Smoked Salsa Verde

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2c Homemade Smoked Salsa Verde (see Smoked Salsa Verde Recipe on this site) OR store-bought Salsa Verde
  • 1 lb Raw Gulf Shrimp- peeled, deveined, tails-off
  • 1 packet of your favorite Taco Seasoning
  • 1 Disc Queso Fresco- crumbled
  • Corn tortillas
  • 2-3 sliced Avocados
  • Fresh Cilantro- chopped
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the shrimp.
  2. Season well with Taco Seasoning.
  3. Heat a little olive oil on the griddle or skillet to medium-high heat and cook the shrimp about 2-3 minutes per side until reaches 145F. Then remove from griddle.
  4. Heat a little more oil, then heat and brown the corn tortillas on each side.
  5. Plate with sliced avocados, crumbled queso fresco cheese, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  6. Enjoy!

Notes

This recipe only takes longer than 20-30 minutes to prepare if you're also making the homemade Smoked Salsa Verde. It can be made ahead of time if desired.
